VIBRATION MONITORING FOR WIND POWER The number of wind turbines in the world is growing every year. The latest turbines often include condition monitoring systems as standard. Older turbines can easily be fitted with advanced vibration sensors to further increase their reliability and service life. Vibration sensors are commonly used to monitor changes in operating conditions within main bearings, yaw bearings and slew bearings, and in main generator output shafts. A typical wind turbine has eight accelerometers installed. These are normally based on our improved response, low frequency HS-100SF vibration sensors , developed by Hansford Sensors specifically for tracking low frequency movements. HS-100 is also suitable for use in wind turbines. Models are available with the option of integral armoured cable and quick-fit connectors. At Hansford Sensors we manufacture a full range of vibration sensors to help your business meet the challenges of monitoring and maintaining a wide ra...
